Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest and sole daughter born to Richard McCormick, in 1956 - was born at Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. Her mother was at her home, and she was a aspiring stay-at-home-mom. Michael, Dennis, Kevin and her sister are older. McCormick began performing and singing in the early stages of her life. She also performed for children in the neighborhood. When she was just six, she was crowned the winner of an award called Baby Miss San Fernando Valley. The Jack Wormser Agency then contacted her to inquire if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick was chosen for her first big role at the age of 64. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial that featured her doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another Mattel commercial in 1964 for the "Chatty-Cathy" doll. Soon after, McCormick was chosen to play the lead character of the show Wind It up and It is Broken at the La Jolla Playhouse. McCormick was portrayed as the youngest of three girls, with two heads in the TV sitcom The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the main character, and Robert Reed was the father. The show ran for 5 years. McCormick admitted in her tale The Resurrected Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that it was during her fifth season on the show that she nearly lost her the virginity she had fought for. He was 19. He was 16. She said that "it could have occurred" however the timing was not just right.
